The 2015 Addison Circle Annual Tree Lighting!
This event will be full of holiday fun featuring children’s activities, horse carriage rides, holiday shopping, refreshments, door prizes and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Free children’s activities include a face painter, caricature artist, balloon artist, and coloring contest. Santa and Mrs. Clause will arrive by the Town of Addison’s fire engine for all the children to enjoy. The WaterTower Theatre along with a kids choir will entertain the crowds throughout the event, and Mayor Todd Meier will address the attendees before the lighting of the tree. Nonperishable food items or unwrapped toys will be collected and donated to the Metrocrest Food Bank.

Join Watters Creek for a magical evening to kick off the holiday season and welcome Santa. The Texas Christkindl Market is an annual market promoting a traditional German marketplace experience like those held in Europe for the holidays. Join Shrek and his friends on a magical, interactive adventure to find Santa at the North Pole. Adventure to Santa magically combines the age-old tradition of the holidays with some ultra-modern technological wizardry to deliver a visual marvel that will delight children and adults of all ages. Bring your friends and family to the Downtown/University District to enjoy the Annual Holiday Lights Parade. Interlochen: A Popular Holiday Lights Tradition Starts Dec. 17
One of the largest holiday light displays in north Texas continues to shine bright in Arlington. Every year, more than 200 homeowners in this northwest Arlington community near Interstate 30 celebrate the season by adorning their homes and property with festive lights and holiday-themed displays.

Mainstay Farm
Mainstay Farm attractions are open and operating during our Christmas tree selling days. Entrance to the farm and participation in events and attractions is completely free! During the tree season we sell trees, tree stands, wreaths, greenery, roping, food, & our HAYMARKET is open for unique finds. Mainstay Farm has fresh Fraser Fir in the Big Barn up to size 10½ feet. All farm amusements and food service will be operating. “We provide an assortment of North Carolina Fraser Fir Christmas trees that Marianna and I personally selected,” said Jim Wilson. Mainstay Farm Christmas trees are individually priced in the Big Barn starting at $48. Trees in the field are pre-tagged and priced according to size and grade. If a tree is not tagged in our field, DO NOT CUT IT. We purposefully do not tag/sell all trees because we must hold some back to become taller trees for next year. Saws are provided in the field. Tree baling is free and twine for tying your tree on your car or truck is provided.
During Christmas Tree Season, entrance to the farm is FREE and most attractions are also FREE. (EXCEPTION: The Yee-Ha Express Train ride is $3 per child for an all-day pass, Adults are free. The Flying Fox is $5 for an all-day pass, Children and Adults. Waiver required.)

Chi Omega Christmas Market
This 38th annual event held at Fair Park features a unique luxury marketplace. With over 175 specialty vendors and artisans offering one-of-a-kind and hard-to-find gifts including jewelry, home and holiday décor, chic and trendy clothing, toys and more. Over the past 38 years, Chi Omega Christmas Market has distributed $6.75 million dollars to the Dallas community through grants to local charities and collegiate scholarships. Funds for Chi Omega Christmas Market beneficiaries are derived solely from ticket sales, merchant booth fees, donations and underwriting. Chi Omega Christmas Market receives no monies from merchant booth sales. In 2014, they donated $269,500 to worthy local organizations.

Christmas at the Anatole: Breakfast with Santa & Geppetto’s Marionette Theater’s Winter Wonderland
Christmas At The Anatole includes various options such as a Weekend Breakfast with Santa experience including an overnight stay, breakfast with Santa, face painting Christmas-themed scavenger hunts, cookie making and more, Also a limited number of Breakfast with Santa tickets without the overnight package are available. Finally, the Anatole will be home to Geppetto’s Marionette Theater presentation of Winter Wonderland — a whirlwind journey to the North Pole in a holiday show that features a cast of over 60 hand-carved marionettes. Ceremonial Menorah Lighting at Thanks-Giving Square
In celebration of Chanukah, a ceremonial Menorah lighting, sponsored by Chabad of Dallas, will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Thanksgiving Square. For eight days and nights, people of Jewish faith celebrate the power of light by lighting candles in ascending number: one flame on the first evening, two flames on the second, three on the third, etc. Participants kindle the Chanukah Menorah; recalling that miraculous victory, 22 centuries ago, of quality over quantity, spirit over materialism and the right over might. All are invited to join Thanks-Giving Square for this special ceremony, where Chabad of Dallas will light the fifth candle.

This Denton tradition was added to the beloved Holiday Lighting Festival 16 years ago. The Tour of Lights is a drive-thru animated display that will amaze you with over 500,000 twinkling lights. You’ll travel through a variety of different scenes, each with their own theme, from fantasy to patriotic. There’s festive holiday music and the grand finale is our animated show in the Farmers Branch Historical Park with Santa Claus himself. Be sure to add the Christmas Tour of Lights to your holiday schedule. It’s sure to be a treasured holiday tradition for your family! The event begins on the Friday after Thanksgiving with the Tour of Lights and stretches all the way until December 30. Throughout the holiday season, visitors to The Shops at Willow Bend are transported to a winter wonderland when they step inside the spectacular holiday Ice Palace. Inspired by the magic of winter, the Ice Palace features a 30-foot globe encircled with a series of majestic arches and smaller globes that appear to be carved from ice. Visitors will be immersed with magical vignettes of polar animal footage and, upon entering the largest dome, see and feel falling snow and a captivating video and light show.

Santa’s Village
The area’s best kept holiday secret, Santa’s Village is a heartwarming event for the young and the young at heart. Venture up to the North Pole (the lawn at City Hall) and explore Santa’s Village and even visit Ol’ Saint Nick himself! There’s plenty to see and do, from walking through the village to enjoying holiday themed entertainment on the main stage. The village is made up of 17 special houses including Ms. Claus’ Bakery, KELF TV Station, the Reindeer Shed, Frosty’s House, and the Ornament Factory, just to name a few. Santa’s Village is opened for ten nights in December.

The 43rd Annual Richardson Christmas Parade, produced by the City of Richardson, has been scheduled for Saturday morning, December 5, 2015. The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas in Toyland”. Individuals and groups are encouraged to represent this theme with their costumes, vehicles and floats. .Deadline for registration is November 29th.

Bethlehem Revisited – Live Nativity
Step back in time, over 2000 years ago, and walk the streets of ancient Bethlehem as Mary and Joseph did on the night of Christ’s birth. On your journey to the site of the Nativity, you will meet innkeepers, merchants, craftsmen, tradesmen, clergy, and many other citizens as they portray daily life in the City of Bethlehem, complete with sheep, camels, and donkeys. You can also visit Herod’s Court and await the nightly parade of the three kings bringing their treasures to Bethlehem’s newest citizen.
