Fair Park 80th Anniversary Celebration
5:00 p.m. – Water Activities and Rides: KidZone featuring a zip line, old-fashioned lawn games, obstacle course and water slides, and a vintage carousel and playground equipment
5:00-11:00 p.m. – Midway Games, Ferris wheel and Tower Ride: A portion of the State Fair’s Midway will be open in celebration of the 80th anniversary. Visitors can ride the Ferris wheel or Tower Ride for free.
5:00 p.m. – Multiple stages featuring live music, visual artists, and more plus food and beverage. Something to delight you around every corner!
7:00-10:00 p.m. – Jazz and Blues Concert from the African American Museum

Concerts in the Garden: The Music of Pink Floyd
Experience a rockin’ sonic blast celebrating the musical legacy of Pink Floyd. The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra combined with a full rock band will perform Pink Floyd’s classic songs in a combination of passion and power. You’ll enjoy some of the greatest hits from The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon. A firework display ending every night.

Dirk Nowitzki’s 2016 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game
Join Dallas Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki on the baseball field. The all-star event, presented by Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at Frisco, benefits the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation and the Heroes Foundation. Come early for family fun festivities outside the ballpark (3-6:30 p.m.) in the CBS Radio DFW Fan Fest area. Ballpark gates open at 5 p.m. and a Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game starts at 5:15 p.m. Celebrity baseball gets underway at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks finale.

The Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas (TAS) presents a FREE public Star Party with its biggest and most sought after telescopes and astronomers at Klyde Warren Park. Come out and see the planet Jupiter in amazing detail through these telescopes. You won’t easily forget seeing Jupiter’s Great Red Spot or watching its Moons eclipse and shadow the King of our Solar System. Texas Heritage Festival
The Heard invites y’all to put on your cowboy hat and mosey on over to the Texas Heritage Festival! Celebrate all that makes the Lone Star State so spectacular. The Texas Heritage Festival will feature many family-friendly activities.
The young-ins will also love exploring the Heard’s Pioneer Village, comprised of eight pint-sized buildings typical of prairie settlements in the late 1800s–such as a school house, general store, and settlers’ cabins!

Summer Sunday Concert Series
Free concert on the Southwest Porch featuring Allyson Rodgers. Allyson Rogers is a 23-year-old singer/songwriter from the Denton, TX area. She writes songs about life, love, and whatever else inspires her from the world around her. Allyson started playing shows around the DFW area in June 2013. She has performed in many venues including the House of Blues, Opening Bell Coffee, and the Absinthe Lounge. She also released her first EP, Outloud, in October 2013 and has plans for a new EP which she hopes to release this fall.
